Despite difficult times for the country, one should not forget about the health of the nation and its future. So at All-Ukrainian level – in the framework of the project "Reproductive Health in Ukraine" – an active and full-scale work on family planning and reproductive health is ongoing. This activity is coordinated by the Charitable Foundation "Woman's Health and Family Planning" with support of the US Agency for International Development (USAID). Dozens of NGOs across the country, including CF “Salus”, – members of the All-Ukrainian Coalition for Reproductive Health and Family Planning, took part in this activity.

On Monday, December 15, 2014, in Kyiv a meeting of the Coordinating Council, established under the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, for the monitoring of the implementation of the State Program "Reproductive Health of the Nation" up to 2015, was held. During the meeting, experts of the above mentioned project presented a report on the evaluation of the current program, and discussed key components of the Conception of a new program. At the meeting the advocacy project – "A Package of Arguments in Favor of Family Planning", jointly developed by experts of USAID "Healthy Women of Ukraine Program", United Nations Population Fund and the Foundation "Woman's Health and Family Planning", was presented.

The meeting of the Coordinating Council was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Public Health, regional health authorities, regional planning centers, Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education after P. L. Shupyk, Institute of Demography and Social Studies of Ukraine, Institute of Strategic Researches Ministry of Health of Ukraine, Institute of Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, WHO Country Office in Ukraine, USAID "Healthy Women of Ukraine Program", United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), Swiss Cooperation Office in Ukraine (SDC), the US Agency for International Development (USAID). The members of the All-Ukrainian Coalition for Reproductive Health and Family Planning, in particular CF “Salus”, were invited to participate in the meeting. During next two days the meeting of all members of the Coalition for Reproductive Health and Family Planning will go on in order to develop a communication strategy of the association. This problem was identified as a priority during a recent meeting of the Coordinating Council of the Coalition and is a continuation of work towards strategic planning and operational activities of the association. Also a General Meeting of the Coalition members was held, during which current issues of the association were discussed, debriefs of the of the Coordinating Council members were presented and new members of the Coalition were adopted.
